I received my B.S. from the University of Pittsburgh, with a major in Natural Sciences and minors in Philosophy and Religious Studies. I joined the BIONIC lab in 2022 as an undergraduate research assistant, with one semester funded through the Fredrick Honor’s College Research Fellowship. Before joining the lab, I worked as a research assistant in Dr. McGeachy’s lab and served as a UTA for Genetics. I continued working at the BIONIC lab post-graduation as a research technician to gain more experience before applying to graduate schools.
My research interests include exploring the immunological basis for neurodegenerative and psychiatric disorders. I currently work on projects that investigate the role of glial calcium in the injury and recovery response in the brain using in-vivo two-photon microscopy.
